The clients engaged MBD while searching for their new country home—an early collaboration that allowed the design vision to unfold seamlessly from the start. Bringing the design team into the process at the outset ensured thoughtful planning and cohesive execution throughout the renovation.

Upon entry, the original foyer’s dark wood paneling was removed to brighten and modernize the space. In its place, custom Phillip Jeffries wall panels introduce lightness and texture, setting the tone for the rest of the home.

All seven en suite bedrooms were completely renovated, each bathroom redesigned with new custom vanities, Waterworks fixtures, and marble mosaic tilework. The result is a series of refined, spa-like retreats that balance luxury with comfort.

The family room was reimagined with a more contemporary edge—existing ceiling beams were painted black to create architectural contrast, and a dramatic slab fireplace was installed as a bold focal point. The living and dining rooms were similarly elevated with stunning silk wallcoverings and a custom-designed marble fireplace, blending sophistication with warmth.

At the top of the sweeping staircase, MBD designed oversized, high-gloss lacquered doors that create a striking entrance to the primary suite. Inside, separate his-and-hers bathrooms each connect to a generous walk-in closet, completing a thoughtfully designed and gracious country estate tailored for modern living.
