MANHATTAN VALLEY

Originally engaged for a smaller project, the scope naturally expanded as the collaboration evolved and the clients entrusted MBD with a broader transformation of their home.

To establish a true sense of arrival, MBD designed a custom glass wall at the foyer, creating a defined entry while maintaining openness and light. The detailing subtly mirrors the lines of the building’s exterior windows, thoughtfully connecting interior architecture with the façade.

The kitchen was completely reimagined with all new appliances and a more functional layout, tailored for a family who loves to cook and gather. Clean lines and smart planning ensure the space is as practical as it is refined.

The children’s bedrooms were designed with longevity in mind. Custom millwork in each room includes built-in bookcases, generous storage, and cleverly concealed pull-out desks that can adapt as the children grow. Hardware-free cut-out detailing was incorporated throughout the millwork—an intentional choice that is both visually streamlined and easy for little hands to use.

The result is a home that balances architectural clarity with warmth, thoughtfully designed to evolve alongside the family.
